Job Description

Job Title: Procurement Executive  

Salary 4-5 LPA

Qualification: B.Tech (Mechanical / Electrical preferred)
Experience: Minimum 4 years in procurement of spare parts, machinery, and engineering items
Key Responsibilities

  1. Sourcing and Supplier Management
  • Identify and develop potential suppliers through market research, technical evaluation, and industry networking.
  • Evaluate suppliers based on cost, quality, reliability, service support, and delivery performance.
  • Negotiate contracts, commercial terms, and payment conditions to ensure favorable pricing and supply security.
  • Maintain supplier relationships and ensure timely resolution of quality, delivery, or documentation issues.
  1. Purchase Order Management and On-Time Deliveries
  • Generate and release purchase orders (domestic and import) in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Monitor and track purchase orders to ensure timely receipt of materials and services.
  • Coordinate closely with logistics, CHA, and accounts for import shipment tracking, clearance, and documentation.
  • Resolve discrepancies related to purchase orders, invoices, or deliveries and ensure material availability for production.
  1. Import Procurement & Documentation
  • Handle end-to-end import processes — including indent finalization, vendor coordination, PI verification, payment follow-up, shipment tracking, and customs clearance.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, CHA, and finance for timely document submission and clearance.
  • Maintain import records (BOE, invoice, packing list, freight, insurance, etc.) and ensure compliance with all import policies.
  • Track landed cost, freight charges, and supplier performance for import-related purchases.
  1. Store Coordination & Material Management
  • Coordinate with store team for inward material verification, stock updating, and issuance tracking.
  • Ensure accurate GRN entries, stock reconciliation, and maintenance of minimum–maximum stock levels.
  • Monitor consumption trends and raise timely purchase requisitions to avoid material shortages.
  • Support in regular store audits and ensure physical & system data accuracy.
  1. Compliance and Reporting
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, procedures, and statutory regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and updated records of procurement, supplier databases, and contracts.
  • Prepare periodic reports on procurement performance, cost savings, supplier evaluation, and store inventory.
  • Support audit requirements with complete documentation.

Key Skills

  • Strong knowledge of spare parts, machinery, and engineering procurement (domestic & import).
  • Hands-on experience with ERP / SAP systems and MS Excel.
  • Good understanding of logistics, CHA coordination, and import documentation.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and coordination skills.
  • Ability to align with store operations and ensure seamless material flow.
